The Festival welcomes Natalie Clein and Friends once more to the Isle of Purbeck on Dorset’s Jurassic Coast for the weekend of 4th – 6th September.
Natalie Clein, Artistic Director, leads a festival which has been growing since she first played a solo recital during Purbeck Art Weeks in 2009. From ‘Natalie Clein and Friends’ in the following years, it has developed into a whole weekend of concerts now well known as the Purbeck Chamber Music Festival.
Born and brought up in Poole, Natalie is a cellist of international standing with a great local following in Dorset. She invites exceptional performers from both home and abroad to make music with her here in the intimate venues which the extraordinary Isle of Purbeck offers.
This year there are return visits from Anthony Marwood (violin) and Gareth Lubbe (viola). Mahan Esfahani (harpsichord) visits for the first time as does Hayden Chisholm (saxophone), Boris Brovtzyn (violin), Judith Busbridge (viola), and Katalin Kokas (violin). With such a line-up, you can be sure Natalie is busy devising exciting programmes, juxtaposing the familiar and well-loved with the new and unexpected. Watch this space for further developments!
